A new GMO food laboratory was opened in Ajara Laboratory Research Center. The head of Ajara government, Zurab Pataradze visited a new laboratory with the minister of Agriculture, Lasha Komakhidze.
New appliances will support the research of groceries, life, protection of health and economic interests, raising competitiveness of Georgian products at the international market and growth of agricultural crops productivity.
According to the DCFTA agreement obligations, Ajara Agriculture Ministry Laboratory Research Center was established in 2016 and financed by Ajara Autonomous Republic Budget with 924 000 GEL.
Examining laboratory of Laboratory Research Center received accreditation according to ISO 7025 standards and currently, it is presented with the largest fields of laboratory researches.
