Pawel Smalinski: Doing Business is Far Simpler in Georgia than in Many European Countries

-How would you appraise Geocell’s 20-year performance in Georgia? What  main challenges has the company met in this period?

-To put simply, we have passed 20 years of investments, progress and innovations. Our company’s progress is entirely related to Georgia. Our company is oriented on permanent growth. We are also involved in social responsibility projects. Our responsibility is to offer not only technological innovations, but also expand perception of this beautiful country.

-How would you describe the company’s marketing strategy today? What would you say about digital marketing?

-we are carrying out active process of digitalization. Our consumers demand for very fast and verified information. Therefore, we believe that outdoor advertisements and billboards are outdated forms of advertising. Therefore, we have chosen digital  communication with the population. We also try to offer innovative products. You should be different to establish communication with the customer in Georgia.

-How would you appraise Georgia’s business environment?

-First of all, Georgia’s investment environment is very open. I am from Poland, which is a EU member country and I confirm that doing business is far simpler in Georgia compared to many European countries. This implies a company registration, communication with government, cooperation with regulatory bodies. Tax administration is also very convenient. It is very easy to meet government members. In other countries my colleagues spend several weeks to resolve this or that issue, but in Georgia everything is simpler.
